Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Paul Carlson Partnership Ministry Family,

Happy Thanksgiving! I am filled with thankfulness and joy to be greeting you this week as the new Executive Director. The PCP team has welcomed me in style!  And, what an amazing first week here at the Evangelical Covenant Church offices. The warm welcome continues to be beyond any I have ever experienced. The organization and facilitation of my orientation activities has been stellar. I have been blessed with the staff’s availability to meet with me and teach me all that we could squeeze into the hours that we had! Becky, James and Craig are terrific in their roles and each one integral in the character and life of PCP. I am humbled that God has placed me as a servant and steward in this role and with his incredible PCP team, Serve Globally team, and the larger ECC team.

Our hearts are filled with thankfulness for you, our supporters in this calling of God for His glory in the Congo. For we know it is by God’s hand that hearts are touched, resources realized, and Congolese people impacted with life changing initiatives. So from the PCP team to you, we say “Thank You!” with grateful hearts.

In this season we’d like to share some good news about what’s happening in PCP:

  • Solar: With the funding provided by CCI partners, the Congolese technician team is repairing broken refrigerators and will be installing new units once they arrive. The technicians will provide ongoing service to keep these refrigerators running.
  • Water: With a community health evangelism (CHE) approach, access to clean water sources will be developed through a holistic, asset-based process and funding will be used to supplement communities’ efforts to improve the quality of their water.
  • Infrastructure: Bridges are key to economic growth, and we are excited to support local engineers who are building new bridges in key areas so people have easier access to healthcare, schools, and markets.

Bridges are being rebuilt by local engineers with PCP support. This bridge is near the Boyagbagia village.

As you can see, God is working in Congo! Even though we are unable to visit due to visa restrictions during this politically challenging time, our partners are doing amazing work. We pray for a time in the near future when we will resume regular travel. I’m looking forward to being there and engaging in ministry with our Congolese partners!

May the God of all peace bless you and keep you, and multiply blessings to you this Thanksgiving season. Again, our deepest gratitude for your heart and commitment to the Paul Carlson Partnership.

Serving with you,

Renée
